Why Fitness And Weight Loss Are Two Peas in a Pod

Weight loss is among the most common resolutions people make on New Year’s Eve, but only a few are able to follow through on achieving their goals. Most people give up midway due to lack of motivation, but mostly because they make a few mistakes. Mistakes that make healthy weight loss virtually impossible for them. One of the key issues in regards to fitness and weight loss is having one without the other. In fact, it won’t be wrong to say that these are two peas in a pod, inseparable if you want to lose weight in a healthy, safe and effective manner. Let’s look at a few reasons why this is so:

You have to create a calorie deficit in your body to be able to lose weight. What this means is you have to consume fewer calories than you are burning. Now, there are two ways you can go about this.

1. Eat as few calories as possible and leave the rest to your metabolism to take care of. If the calories you consume are being metabolized, you will then lose weight.

2. Reduce your calorie intake by opting for low-calorie and highly nutritious foods, but also working out regularly so that the excess calories are used up by the body and do not get stored as fat.
Obviously, opting for fitness training is the better opinion. This shows fitness and weight loss are interconnected.

You often read or hear about drinking a gallon of water a day if you want to lose weight. The way this works is your body uses up the water you drink, but only if there are increased oxygen levels. Again, this comes down to physical fitness. If you are fit and striving to stay that way, your body will have higher oxygen levels and the increased hydration will contribute towards weight loss.

Last, but not the least, you have to keep in mind the fact that you once you lose weight, it doesn’t mean the weight will stay off forever. You have to find ways to keep it off once you drop it. This is where you have to rely on exercise and achieve optimal fitness to ensure your weight remains at a manageable level.
So, as you can see, fitness and weight loss are indeed two peas in a pod and you can’t have one without the other, safely at least.
